Lieutenant Position- External Due: June 4, 2026 @ 12:00pm

Porter Fire Department is seeking applications for the position of Lieutenant. Internal and External applicants are welcome to apply.

ELIGIBLITY

      External Candidate - the department will post for outside interest for a 21-day period. Candidates with interest must prove lateral credentials for internal eligibility.

·         Lateral credentials are to be reviewed by professional development for approval

·         External candidates must have 4 years of experience with lateral credentials

·         Certifications missing from the requirement may be obtained within 24 months of promotion/appointment.

·         Engine Operator with 5 years in rank.
